Barbra Banda on World 11: "Being voted by fellow players means a lot"

Orlando Pride and Zambia striker Barbra Banda has described her second inclusion in the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPRO) Women’s World 11 as a special achievement after receiving her trophy on Tuesday.

Banda was voted into the prestigious 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11, which was officially announced on 3 November 2025, earning selection as one of the team’s forwards. The award is determined by the votes of more than 6,000 women footballers from around the world, making it one of the most respected honors in the global game.

FIFPRO’s Women’s World 11 stands out as the only global football award decided exclusively by players, highlighting Banda’s impact and reputation among her peers.

With her latest selection, the Zambian star made history by becoming the first African footballer to win back-to-back Women’s World 11 honors, further cementing her status as one of the leading figures in women’s football.

Banda’s achievement adds to a growing list of milestones in an outstanding career that continues to inspire footballers across Zambia, Africa, and beyond.
